Local singing practice for Mac

Your private karaoke room.

Import your own audio, separate vocals on-device, record multiple takes, align your voice, mix the final version, and export a private practice track.

Available now on the Mac App Store in supported regions. Core features are free, with no subscription.

No song catalog, no cloud upload, no social feed. Just your local files and your practice session.

02 Record and align

Keep every take, then fix the timing.

Practice rarely lands perfectly on the first try. Private Karaoke Studio lets you record multiple takes, choose the active take, and adjust timing after recording without throwing away earlier attempts.

Multiple takes Keep each recording and swap the active take when comparing performances.
Post-recording alignment Move your voice forward or backward so the take lands with the instrumental.
Focused playback Stay in the practice loop instead of managing a full DAW session.

03 Mix and export

Turn a practice session into one private mix.

Balance the instrumental, quiet reference vocal, and your own recording. Choose a mix preset, avoid clipping, then export the final version for private review or continued practice.

Layer controls Set volumes for instrumental, reference vocal, and your recorded voice.
Practice-first export Export the final mix, not clean instrumentals or individual stems.
Local files only No song catalog, no public posting flow, and no upload-first audio processing.

Details for the full practice loop.

After the three core steps, the app stays focused on what a singer needs in one private session: import, separate, transpose, record, align, mix, and export.

01

Bring your own audio

Start from local m4a, mp3, wav, aiff, or flac files that you choose from your Mac.

02

Separate on-device

Create an instrumental practice layer and keep a quiet reference vocal without uploading your audio.

03

Change the key

Move the song up or down before recording so the practice track sits closer to your range.

04

Record multiple takes

Keep every attempt, swap the active take, and compare versions without losing earlier recordings.

05

Fix timing after recording

Adjust when your voice plays relative to the instrumental so the take lands with the track.

06

Export the practice mix

Balance instrumental, reference vocal, and your voice, then export the final singing-practice version.

Local-first by design

Your songs and recordings stay on your Mac.

Private Karaoke Studio has no account system, no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no upload-first processing flow in the current version.

No cloud audio processing Separation and practice features are designed to run locally on supported Macs.
No stem export product The app exports your final practice mix, not clean instrumentals or individual stems.
No public karaoke network There are no feeds, scores, rankings, duets, comments, or public profile pages.

Details that matter.

Does it include a song catalog?

No. You import audio files you already have. The app does not search, stream, download, or provide songs.

Does it upload my voice?

No. The current version does not upload microphone input, recordings, imported songs, stems, or exported files to our servers.

Can I export a clean instrumental?

No. Exports are limited to the final practice mix with your recording and selected mix settings.

What Mac do I need?

Private Karaoke Studio is designed for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later.

Built for private singing practice, not public performance pressure.
